How to install osConcert

This will describe the install process AFTER you have unzipped the osconcert_demo_v233.zip file and you have entered the address into your browser address bar for example www.yourdomain.com/osconcert/

1. Follow the instructions and CONTINUE on

2. Agree to the licence conditions and Continue on

3. Enable the 'Skip MySQL Test' (or test if you like) and Continue on

4. Scroll down and Continue

5. Install the sample data and configuration values and Continue

6 Add the database details (usually localhost or your IP address for your domain - check with your web hosting)
Add your database Username, Password and Database Name. I recommend sessions storage into the database.

Continue on

7. Files will be imported...Continue on

8. If successful Continue on (sometimes there maybe an error for databases that don't like cronjob sql files)
I suggest disabling the offending sql file inside the install directory.

9. This will show the database details once again. Continue on and there will be a success page again

10. Where it says Freeway Configure, leave all this and continue on, as we will be overwriting this information when we RESTORE the database from within the Admin.

11. This page will warn you about the Install Directory still exists and Config files being writable, ignore this for now and continue on.

12. IMPORTANT: Enter the email address and password here for the Admin login.

13. Success. Click the Admin button and go directly to the Admin pages

14. Enter your login details you created earlier.

15. Now you should be at Shop Settings. Go to the menu above >Advanced> Backups

16. Restore the RESTORE_THIS_FILE_osconcert_single_db.sql file. This will complete the osConcert settings rather than the default Freeway settings.

17. Confirm RESTORE and you will see the 'Last restoration date'

18. Go to the left menu and click Front End to take us to the Front End of osConcert. If you dont see the same as my demo, there may be a problem.

19. If all is OK go to Shop Settings and start configuring osConcert for your evaluation.
